At work, when we are busy, we are often distracted from being mindful. We tend to be much less aware of the moment, and perhaps even less aware of our wellbeing. We might even ignore our own wellbeing or forget to take breaks. We might even become more accident prone.
The mindfulness tradition is based on the axiom that our wellbeing is directly affected by the quality of our attention.
There are many definitions of mindfulness. The specific definition of mindfulness we are referring to is knowing what is happening in your experience while it is happening, which is also known as present-moment awareness. The word mindfulness, however, tends to also be over used and often covers very broadly the whole field of meditation extending to yoga practice.
In the workplace, our app helps create mindfulness which is achieved through awareness combined with intentional techniques with a targeted outcome in view.
Apps designed to improve the productivity of employees in workplace settings are not common place. Our app is designed to improve worker satisfaction and the employees overall wellbeing. Our app integrates common company mission statements and seeks to make at least incremental improvements in workplace culture.
